My Blue Heaven

A paper-thin plot that essentially served to reunite Grable and Dailey after their success in WHEN MY BABY SMILES AT ME. It also served to introduce a pert, energetic, and brunette Mitzi Gaynor to the movies. Dailey and Grable are a successful radio team, about to jump into TV, and happily expecting a child. But they get into a car accident, and Grable loses the child and is told it will be impossible for her to bear another. Their best friends are Wayne and Wyatt, who have five children (Plowman, Blunt, Pagett, Stevens, and McKenzie) and the sight of the happy family causes Dailey and Grable to try adoption.
