Mutant On The Bounty

Never as funny as its advertising copy, MUTANT OF THE BOUNTY is a science-fiction spoof that borrows heavily from John Carpenter's low-budget cult classic DARK STAR. Max (Kyle T. Heffner) is the sax-playing title creature, who's been traveling through space as a beam of particle light for 23 years when he's intercepted by the crew of the spaceship, "Bounty." The "Bounty" crew is a motley one, comprising a perky blonde magazine writer (Deborah Benson); a laid-back ship's officer (John Furey); his uptight counterpart (John Roarke); an indecipherable French doctor (Victoria Catlin); and a haywire, cross-dressing android (John Fleck).
