McCrea is an ex-rancher/rodeo star who helps young Indian boy Mina pursue a wild mustang. That's the entire plot for this ambling little film. The story is padded with stock nature footage and scenes from earlier McCrea films to show his character's earlier life. Like his character, McCrea
came out of retirement at age 70 to do this film, which was to be his last, and he does a nice job as the old cowman. The thin story unfortunately was overwritten with dialog. A dog named Rote steals the whole show with his cute antics. A little boring at times, but the kids might enjoy it.
