THREE MUSKETEERS, THE | QUEEN'S DIAMONDS, THE

The oft-told tale by Alexander Dumas gets a terrific rendering by director Richard Lester. Michael York is a happy rustic youth who would like nothing more than to become part of the Musketeers, the leaders of whom are Oliver Reed, Richard Chamberlain, and Frank Finlay, a trio of swashbuckler more interested by cleavage and cash than by any sort of loyalty to their king (Jean-Pierre Cassel).
