The Three Musketeers: Review

A tame version of the Dumas classic which had previously been filmed silently in 1921 with Douglas Fairbanks. Originally this was to have been directed by John Ford with Francis Lederer in the starring role; instead, Abel is miscast in his first opportunity off the Broadway stage, and Lee woefully misdirects a swashbuckler that has every right to a spirited production from all hands. leave a comment
