Music In My Heart

This film opens with the most annoying of filmdom's conventions, the "cute meet." Two taxi cabs crash, thus allowing Martin and Hayworth to hook up. He's a talented crooner awaiting deportation; she's a singer engaged to marry newspaper publisher Mowbray. Ill-written, the film contains a series of musical numbers featuring the pair and Kostelanetz's orchestra. Kostelanetz was featured on a popular CBS radio show at the time, and, in an unusual move, the program and network are mentioned in the film.
