Murder Will Out

Three blackmailers are out to ruin businessman Mulhall, collecting hush money from him for some underhanded dealings. When three murders occur aboard a New York Harbor docked submarine, the culprits are believed to be Chinese. Beery is the detective out to solve the crime and uncover the blackmailers, and Lee plays his love interest. In the end, when the blackmailers are unmasked, they turn out not to be Chinese at all. This film was made during a time when stereotypes were encouraged in films, and so did nothing to give the Chinese community a good reputation.
