An inept mystery released in America through RKO features Conway as a British detective with skills similar to those of fictional countryman Sherlock Holmes. Brought in to confirm the authenticity of a rare stamp, he finds the sticky trail leads to murder. The direction is mediocre, and
pacing is slow. The script contains weak dialog and an all-too-familiar unfolding plot, and the ensemble does what it can with stereotyped characters. Conway played the super-sleuth once more in BREAKAWAY, a film never released in the US.
