Oddly uneven film which starts out on a rather light-hearted level then turns grim. Taylor is a young naval officer whose ship is being fitted with newly devloped fire-control gear which will enhance it wartime potential. The new technology attracts foreign interest (the film carefully avoids identifying just which country these interests represent), leading to sabotage and murder. Soon Taylor finds himself immsersed in battle to protect the ship from a crazed spy. Though the material flounders, the cast acquits itself well. leave a comment
