Murder On A Honeymoon

Oliver (later replaced by Helen Broderick) plays amateur sleuth to Gleason's professional detective in this amusing mystery. She's a nosy school teacher who, while visiting Catalina, unwittingly becomes involved in a murder investigation. To Gleason's chagrin, she proves to be fairly competent. This was one of the best MURDER ON films released by RKO in the 1930s, with some nice repartee between the two leads. Good use of location shooting lends the film an atmospheric quality, and the direction carries the story and suspense well.
