Oddly uneven film which starts out on a rather light-hearted level then turns grim. Taylor is a young naval officer whose ship is being fitted with newly devloped fire-control gear which will enhance it wartime potential. The new technology attracts foreign interest (the film carefully avoids identifying just which country these interests represent), leading to sabotage and murder.
