Karloff returns for the third time as the Chinese detective Mr. Wong, investigating the death of a Chinese princess (Long) who was killed in Wong's house by a poisoned dart. Wong and police captain Street (Withers) are aided in their investigation by Street's reporter fiancee, Miss Bobby Logan (Reynolds). The trail leads to the princess' apartment, where they discover the body of her maid.
