Somehow the filmmakers managed to take the subject of the mistreatment of migrant workers and turn it into a vehicle for displaying Bronson's violent heroics. In this one he's a farmer who is exemplary for his fairness but lands in jail anyway. During an attempted jailbreak by Lettieri,
Bronson foils the mafioso's attempts and offers to return the chieftain for his own freedom. This done, Lettieri threatens to get even with Bronson. First, one of Bronson's workers has his legs pinned into a loading dock by a slow-moving car. The result is bloodless but painful to think about.
