Mr. Love

Another charming British film from executive producer David Puttnam, MR. LOVE is about Donald Lovelace (Barry Jackson), a reserved small-town gardener who has captured the fancy of all the women in town, becoming something of a local folk hero. The film begins with his funeral, which is attended almost exclusively by the women who loved him. As his best friend Theo (Maurice Denham) reminisces, the film flashes back to Lovelace's days above ground. Lovelace comes to the realization one afternoon that he is 50 years old and has never been loved.
