Wall-E Wins Best Picture, Dark Knight Runner-Up

Wall-E
Our favorite doe-eyed robot, Wall-E, has stolen the hearts of the Los Angeles Film Critics Association earning best picture of the year on Tuesday — the first time in the organization's 33-year history that an animated film nabbed the top honor, according to Variety.
In addition to the Disney/Pixar robot love story, Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight drew a lot of attention with the late Heath Ledger earning a supporting actor nod for his critically-acclaimed villainous role as the Joker. The Batman sequel was also runner-up for best picture and director as well.
Actor Sean Penn took the best actor honor for his portrayal of Harvey Milk, the gay political activist in Focus Features' Milk, while Penelope Cruz won supporting actress for her super sexy Spanish artist in Weinstein Co.'s Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
