Prom Night Crowned King of the Box Office
The Brittany Snow-fronted remake of 1980's
Prom Night attracted a lot of dates this weekend, topping the box office with a $22.7 million haul.
Street Kings placed second with a $12 mil opening.
Rounding out the top five were two-time box office champ
21 ($11 million, $62.3 mil to date),
Nim's Island ($9 mil) and
Leatherheads ($6.2 mil).
Among other premieres,
Smart People came in at No. 7, with $4.2 million.
