Marvel: Iron Man 2 on the Way

Instant sequel! Just add water, and a lot of fannies in the seats. On the heels of
Iron Man pulling in more than $200 million worldwide since its release last week, Marvel Studios announced there will be an
Iron Man 2.
The sequel's release is scheduled for April 10, 2010.
Marvel plans some superhero cross-pollination on the big screen.
Robert Downey, Jr.'s
Iron Man character, Tony Stark, will make an appearance in
The Incredible Hulk, due out in June. Studio chief David Maisel says it's likely the Hulk will make an appearance in
Iron Man 2.
The studio has several other films in the offing based on Marvel superheroes, including
Thor (June 2010),
The First Avenger: Captain America, (May 2011) and
The Avengers (July 2011). -
