Eddie Murphy Returning to Beverly Hills Cop Beat

Eddie Murphy has signed on to star in a fourth version of
Beverly Hills Cop, scheduled for release in 2010.
Variety reports Murphy himself approached Paramount brass about reviving the comedy franchise that first hit the big screen in 1984. Brett Ratner is in talks to direct the film.
This will be Detective Foley's first visit to theaters sine the third installment of the
Cop series was released in 1994. -
