Did Britney get a leg up on a porn queen?

Quentin Tarantino - who previously pronounced Tera Patrick to be his pick to play Varla in a remake of 1965's Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! - by one account is now eyeing Spears instead.

A source tells the UK's Telegraph, "Quentin is convinced Britney will be brilliant" as the lesbian stripper who murders a guy with her bare hands before taking his girlfriend hostage. "[And Britney] is delighted. She thinks it could turn her career around."

As Varla, Spears would also engage in (simulated) sex scenes with another girl.

Does Britney plus Tarantino plus lesbian sex scenes add up to too purrrfect an unconfirmed rumor? "I really don't see this happening," one film industry insider tells TVGuide.com, scoffing at the Telegraph's tale. "Tarantino is going to be really busy for the next few years with Inglorious Bastards [starring Michael Madsen and Adam Sandler, and perhaps being produced in two parts a la Kill Bill].
