Twilight fans will now be able to bite into the film adaptation sooner than originally planned. The upcoming film adaption of the teen vampire novel is taking the
date left open by the move of
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Warner Brothers announced Thursday that
Half-Blood's arrival would be moving from November 21 to summer 2009. Summit Entertainment has now pushed
Twilight, which was scheduled to open December 12, up to the November spot, the
Reporter said.
"We by no means are trying to fill the shoes of the incredible
Potter franchise for 2008," Summit's Rob Friedman said. "Rather we are just looking to bring the fans of Stephenie Meyer's incredible book series the film as soon possible from a programming perspective."
Does the
Twilight move leave you more sanguine about the
Potter situation? Or is there just no substitute for
Half-Blood? -
