Stoner Faves Harold and Kumar Roll Back into Theaters

John Cho and Kal Penn by Jesse Grant/WireImage.com

The slow-burning stoner hit Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle, which sparked a successful sequel, Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, is set to roll into theaters again with a third installment.

Details are vague, but stars Kal Penn and John Cho are likely to return, according to an article in Variety. Also returning are Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, who wrote and directed the first two flicks.

White Castle was a sleeper hit that eventually grossed $18 million domestically and $30 million in DVD sales (seems folks enjoy watching the flick from the comfort of their cushy couches). Guantanamo Bay more than doubled the theater take of the first, thanks to growing legions of mellow fans.
