Lawrence Kasdan to Write New Robotech Pic

Warner Brothers has hired screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan to help bring the film adaptation of the animated classic Robotech to a theater near you.

THR.com says actor Tobey Maguire is among several producers of the film, which chronicles the development of giant robots to fend off aliens after their spacecraft crashes on a South Pacific island. - J.R. Whalen
