This just in to the Self-Fulfilling Prophecy Department!
Matt Lanter (who played Claire's date-rapey boyfriend on
Heroes) and the "dynamic trio" - according to their publicists - of Vanessa Minnillo, Kim Kardashian and Carmen Electra will be costarring in
Disaster Movie, in which "a group of ridiculously attractive twentysomethings ... try to make their way to safety [one night] while every known natural disaster and catastrophic event - asteroids, twisters, earthquakes, the works - hits the city."
Sound like a bad idea? Oh, it
is!
Fortunately, it's supposed to be bad.
Disaster is a spoof of the movie genre -- from the people who brought us
Scary Movie,
Date Movie,
Epic Movie and
Meet the Spartans -- and not an excerpt from a review. (Those will come later.) This total
Disaster, whose promotional materials feature the actually clever tagline "Motherf---ing Nature," will hit theaters on August 29. -
