Does MGM have a Bourne winner? The studio has beat out several rivals to grab rights to Robert Ludlum's
The Matarese Circle (
shop Amazon), a Cold War-set thriller about two spies, one from the CIA and one from the KGB, who reluctantly team up to bring down an international cabal of killers called the Matarese.
Michael Brandt and Derek Haas (
3:10 to Yuma) will pen the script, and Denzel Washington is loosely attached to play the American agent. -
