Bryce Dallas Howard is in talks to fill the hole left in the cast of
Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins by the recent departure of
Charlotte Gainsbourg.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Howard - most recently seen in
Spider-man 3 and
Lady in the Water - is negotiating to take the role of Kate Connor, the wife of the film's protagonist, played by
Christian Bale. Gainsbourg left the production (already shooting in New Mexico) due to possible scheduling conflicts with the French comedy she plans to shoot in the future. She feared if shooting stopped for an actors strike, the work might resume during the time she is scheduled to shoot the French film.
Howard will next appear in
The Loss of a Teardrop, a film based on a Tennessee Williams screenplay. -
