Ben Affleck's new Boston-based bank robber drama, The Town, took the No. 1 spot at the box office over the weekend opening with $23.8 million, according to Box Office Mojo.

Hollywood has finally gotten around to giving Ronald Reagan the big-screen presidential biopic treatment.

Reagan will trace the path from the 40th president's childhood and acting career all the way to the White House. The film is based on Paul Kengor's best-selling biographies The Crusader and God and Ronald Reagan.

The Expendables fended off five new releases to top the box office for the second straight weekend.

Sylvester Stallone and his eclectic bunch of action stars claimed another $16.5 million to bring the film's 10-day total to $64.9 million, according to Box Office Mojo.

The Expendables

The action ensemble flick The Expendables took the No. 1 spot at the weekend box office raking in $35 million, according to Box Office Mojo.

The film, written by David Callaham and Sylvester Stallone and directed by Stallone, is an homage to many of the blockbuster films from the 1980s and '90s. It stars action-movie veterans Stallone, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger, among others, as well as actors newer to the genre, such as Jason Statham and Jet Li.
