Silent comedian Harold Lloyd's best sound effort, MOVIE CRAZY is partly autobiographical. Lloyd plays a Kansas boy who is enamored of the movies. In imitation of the screen dramas that thrill him, he performs elaborate, dramatic scenes for the amusement of his mother and to the chagrin of his father. Lloyd sends a letter to Hollywood offering to appear in any film of their choosing. Through a mixup, a photograph of an extremely handsome lad is substituted for Lloyd's with the letter, and soon Hollywood calls him for a screen test.
