This was made as a television spectacular, then released in the US as a long feature after having the fat trimmed; they did not trim enough. It is the story of Moses, played by Lancaster, who came down from the burning bush with the ten commandments. The TV version, which aired on CBS as "Moses, the Lawgiver," was the basis for this movie, but several scenes were added which would not have made it past CBS's Standards and Practices Department.
