The Morning After

Alex Sternbergen (Jane Fonda), an aging alcoholic actress who never quite became a movie star, wakes one morning after a binge to find a bloody corpse next to her in bed. She doesn't recognize the man or remember anything about the night before, and, rather than face the cops, she tries to disappear. When she can't get a seat on a plane, she ends up with Turner Kendall (Jeff Bridges), a former policeman whose career ended when he was stabbed in the shoulder. Turner helps Alex reconstruct the events of the fateful night and, predictably, they fall in love.
