A female bonding film in the FRIED GREEN TOMATOES vein, MOONLIGHT AND VALENTINO showcases a talented quartet: Elizabeth Perkins, Whoopi Goldberg, Kathleen Turner and Gwyneth Paltrow. They seem to represent four stages of womanhood: Paltrow is the young woman in love; Goldberg, the disgruntled wife; Turner, the divorced matriarch; and Perkins, the young widow.
