Twelve To The Moon

An international crew goes on a trip to the moon, where nothing but trouble is waiting. First one crew member is killed by some molten silver. Others die from lunar dust. Finally, it's revealed that the creatures behind all the deaths are underground lunar dwellers who, ironically, are peace-seekers. Frightened by the Earthmen's intrusions, they threaten to freeze up all of North America unless the survivors tell those on Earth to stop all wars. Why supposedly timid peace-loving creatures would turn to such rash methods isn't explained; however, many other topics are discussed to death in this one.
