An amateurish 16mm production financed in part by the British Film Institute in the hope of promoting new talent. Unfortunately not much talent is here to promote. The film depicts the daily life of the boarders who populate London's Portobello Road. Every character in sight, however, is a
blaring stereotype. The songs are no better, sounding like retreads of old melodies that were big in the hippie heyday.
