Unsuspecting boaters are shipwrecked on a tiny island that is ruled over by the devious-minded Stamp and inhabited by, among other things, prehistoric monsters. Based on a Verne story, this tale lacks the ingenuity of the original, even though it is reportedly the most expensive film ever
made in Spain. It's all done with a good dash of humor, however. The saurian critters look a bit like Macy's parade balloons, but why not? They turn out to be merchanized replicas planted on the island by young Serra's dad, who wants his pampered son to have a bit of adventure.
