One of the many B pictures cranked out by MGM during its contract player years to showcase new talent, this little film had a lot of talent in the showcase. Reed received an Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress for FROM HERE TO ETERNITY; Dailey (he soon dropped the "Jr." from his
name) became one of the most celebrated song-and-dance men in the movies; Blake (who, when even younger, appeared in "Our Gang" comedies as Mickey Gubitosi) went on to become a TV superstar. The thin plot deals with the difficulties Blake experiences in dealing with his new stepmother, Reed.
Basically a chronicle of malicious mischief with a final happy ending.
