A sparkling, heartwarming comedy that stars Crain as the model and Ritter as the marriage broker. Ritter runs a dating service on the side, and when she discovers that Crain is having an affair with a married man, she gets to work. Ritter makes Crain go see an unmarried X-ray technician she
knows, on the pretext of looking for a missing earring, hoping the two will start to date and Crain will forget about the married man. Ritter's involvement goes a bit far, but the two eventually end up falling in love. To return the favor, Crain fixes up Ritter with a prospective husband. Charles
LaMaire's costume design earned the film its only Oscar nomination.
