Taylor plays a reporter on the trail of an underworld killer. The mobster has had plastic surgery and is posing as a respectable plantation owner, but Taylor sees through all this, leading to the mob boss's arrest. One of the few bright spots in this otherwise routine story is the
appearance of Howard as a zany taxi driver. The songs serve no purpose.
