This inferior adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's tale has Wontner portraying super-sleuth Sherlock Holmes as he tries to uncover the whereabouts of a Rembrandt that has been stolen from the Louvre. His search leads him to the home of Sullivan, a wealthy baron who will do anything to get what he wants.
