Less-than-thrilling espionage tale has Lane as an undercover agent for the Soviets sent to Paris to uncover information on Nazi submarine movements. Because of her close resemblance to a Nazi spy, she is able to infiltrate the Gestapo with little difficulty; her identifying feature is a special coin. The coin is also what tips off the Nazis, forcing her to flee France, aided by the American Banks. What could have been a good thriller is marred by an incredibly slackened pace. Stock footage of Nazi marches and warships is used to heighten realism, but comes off as cliched. Cast does a decent job, with the personalities of the characters coming through, but to little avail. leave a comment
