Gish runs a boarding house at a medical school, giving the boys studying to become doctors the needed inspiration. Tufts is one of her boarders who is trying to romance Caulfield but runs into trouble because he lacks funds and needs to devote a lot of time to studying. The story
concentrates heavily upon the institutionalism of the boarding house. What would otherwise be a pretty drab subject is enlivened by the problems of various students. However, this also leads to the inability to keep a consistent plot going throughout; the various stories need to be blended better.
Camera work is good, as are the rest of the production techniques.
