The Misfit Brigade

In 1943 the Nazi government, desperate for soldiers, began raiding prisons for recruits. THE MISFIT BRIGADE recounts the exploits of a brigade of such ex-cons attached to a panzer division, with their crimes ranging from bigamy to desertion to Marxism. None of the group is much enamored of Hitler, but they find fighting preferable to prison. They enjoy boozing, brawling, and generally raising hell until Col. von Weisshagen (David Carradine) sends them to the Russian front and assigns them to blow up a train in the Russian village of Dankau.
