Gregson plays a member of a road repair team. Fixing a street in London's Soho district, he makes the acquaintance of an Italian family on the verge of migrating to Canada. Despite the efforts of the mother and father to keep the family together, the eldest son and daughter desire to stay behind to pursue their love interests.
