The real miracle is that the film ever got made in the first place. This onslaught against just about everything America held sacred during World War II is reckless, exaggerated and very funny. Betty Hutton stars as a man-crazy blonde from the tiny town of Morgan's Creek who, after one wild and passionate night with a soldier, wakes up married and pregnant — or so she thinks.
