Roc is an aircraft factory worker during WWII who falls in love with and marries air gunner Jackson. Though Jackson is killed in action, the film never becomes melodramatic. Everything is staged and acted so simply and to the point that the action seems realistic, perhaps because the film
was shot at the height of the war when all involved in the production were directly connected to the conflict raging around them in a way their American counterparts were not. The film was reissued in 1947.
