Barrie wants to get on her father's radio amateur hour. She disguises herself and performs on the show with singing ice-cream salesman John Howard; they win the big prize. Comic contributions come from Baker and Chasen, but Willie Howard gets the biggest laughs as the amateur opera singer. Songs include: "Laughing at the Weather," "A Penny in My Pocket" (Ralph Rainger, Leo Robin), "You Tell Her--I Stutter" (Billy Rose, Cliff Friend), "Love Is Just Around the Corner" (Robin, Lewis Gensler). Other songs are by Frederick Hollander, Arthur Johnston, and Sam Coslow. leave a comment
