A 1950s version of a 1930s screwball comedy, this falls a bit short but has enough laughs to make it proceed painlessly. MacMurray is a radio commentator with a honey voice and lots of sugary philosophy; Parker is a secretary with a large legal firm who is dispatched to California to tell
him that he has been left a $2 million fortune. MacMurray is about to marry Buckley and has no idea of his good fortune, so Parker decides to keep her knowledge to herself and win MacMurray away from Buckley--who is secretly admired by MacMurray's pal, Carlson, a doctor. The marriage is about to
transpire when best man Carlson takes off. MacMurray races after the doctor to La Joll...
