Trevor plays a newspaper reporter assigned to fill in for a colleague at police headquarters. When sent on a bum tip to the black section of the city, she comes across a young black woman claiming to be the mother of the white child she is raising. Further investigation by Trevor reveals the real mother to be a wealthy society woman.
