Fifteen years after starring in THE CHAMP, Wallace Beery took on the role of another down-and-out boxer, here playing Roy "Slag" McGurk, an ex-champion employed by a despicable tavern owner (Edward Arnold) bent on evicting the Salvation Army from its Bowery home so that he can expand his operation.
