Midnight Lady

Padden is the owner of a speakeasy who left her family years before to escape a domineering mother-in-law. Her children think she is dead, but when daughter Dell is accused of murder, her mother comes forward and takes the rap. Eventually, the real killer is identified and Padden and Dell are reunited. A decent cast can't overcome the weak script and silly dialog, and the picture is further hampered by substandard production credits.
