Mexican Bus Ride

One of Luis Bunuel's simplest, most straightforward films is this peasant tale of a young newlywed, Oliviero (Esteban Marquez), whose exotic honeymoon evening is interrupted when his greedy, lazy brothers inform him of their mother's impending death. Fearing that his two elder brothers will profit unfairly from the old woman's demise, Oliviero journeys via bus to a distant village in order to return with a lawyer.
