I Met Him In Paris

A good comedy with sprightly dialog, I MET HIM IN PARIS has Colbert throwing over stick-in-the mud Bowman, a dull fiance, to commit "a one-woman rebellion against everything that's sweet and conventional." She takes a holiday in Paris, where she becomes entangled with playwright Douglas and playboy Young, who is secretly married. Colbert is initially attracted to Young because he appears sincere, but she explodes when she finds that he's married. The three go to Switzerland, and a comedy of enjoyable slapstick errors follows as they almost break their necks on skates, skis, and bobsleds, and in snow deeper than the Grand Canyon.
